C.O.R.E. Initiative

Established in July 2016 by the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Constable's Office, the Community Outreach Relations & Education (C.O.R.E) Initiative is a non profit organization whose mission is to work with local community leaders, local governmental and law enforcement agencies to create programs and provide resources to empower and better our communities. Some of our immediate goals are to assist community agencies in resolving chronic homelessness, work with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies on combating the Opioid overdose epidemic and other drug related issues along with educating youths providing them with options and hope rather than hopelessness.

Community - A social group of any size whose members reside in a specific locality,share government, and often have a common cultural and historical heritage.

Outreach -    An activity of providing services to any population who might not otherwise have access to those services. A key component of outreach is that the groups providing it are not stationary, but mobile; in other words they are meeting those in need of outreach services at the locations where those in need are. In addition to delivering services, outreach has an educational role, raising the awareness of existing services.

Relations -   The various connections in which persons are brought together, business and social.

Education - The process of receiving or giving systematic instruction.....

The action or process of educating or of being educated.....

The knowledge and development resulting from an educational process.....
